In 1997 I graduated from UW-Stout, in the tiny town of Menomonie, WI. Growing up in Milwaukee I was intrigued by small towns and really enjoyed my time up north. Over a decade later I find myself often returning to my old small town for viisits since my Uncle married someone from Menomonie! What are the odds? I don't know but it works for me!...
My Aunt Carmen is a wonderfully creative bead artist that opened her store in 2005, starting out in the front of her mother's flower shop (yep, Flowers on Main where I ordered several fashion show flower arrangements long before knowing my future Aunt!).
Now she's in the most perfect space. Very quaint, with selection you'd find in a much larger city. She offers several classes, and is a great teacher. I'm not the most patient student but she's taugh me several stich techniques. She's up on the latest jewelry trends and does great work for weddings and special occasions. If you're in the area, check it out! Besides beads, she sells her beautiful finished jewelry.
True Milwaukee girl, lived in a multiple areas in the state of Wisconsin and has traveled around the world but always remembers "where ever you go, there you are".
